Selected engineering projects

I’m Jared Bebout, an infrastructure and security engineer.

My specialty is being a technical generalist. I can step into an unfamiliar environment, get up to speed quickly, and figure out how to make it better—then do the hands-on work to make that happen. These two projects show what that looks like in practice.

Rebuilding network security across three states
#

Turning broad firewall access into narrowly scoped permissions across three connected sites. This project brings together traffic analysis, segmentation, secure developer access, and reverse-proxy protections in infrastructure evaluated during a successful C3PAO CMMC Level 2 assessment.

Rebuilding virtualization and automating cluster operations
#

Designing and personally implementing two eight-node Proxmox/Ceph clusters, migrating production workloads, and building Ansible rolling maintenance and observability. The work continued into client-facing service operations, documentation, and teammate training.
